Nadav Kahn is an Israeli-born singer/songwriter.
Since signing his first major record deal with EMI Music for his art rock band GELBISON, he has toured the world with several collaborative and solo projects, releasing 10 albums to date. Over the past fourteen years, Nadav has studied the mystical powers of sound in India. This led him to discover for the dynamism of his own cultural roots, Jewish mysticism. This journey has shaped the creation of Nadav’s devotional albums in both Hebrew and Sanskrit, which furthered his exploration of pop music as the mantra of the masses. Following this, in 2017, Nadav put out the record POP SUTRAS, where he re-worked pop songs into soulful meditations on living and dying.
Apart from his own solo projects, as a songwriter Nadav collaborates with many artists across an array of genres. In 2015, he co-wrote the title track of Steve Aoki’s album ‘Neon future’, along with Aoki and Luke Steele (EMPIRE OF THE SUN). In 2009, Nadav received the APRA Music Award for “Song of the Year” for co-writing & co-producing the OLD MAN RIVER song ‘Sunshine’. Recently, Nadav formed a new band with old friends Lior and Tony Buchen called AIR LAND SEA. Written and recorded across bush land, desert-scape and Hollywood, 2019 will see the release of the band’s self-titled harmony-drenched debut album. INVOCATION is Nadav’s latest mantra album, created with master UK record producer, Martin Glover aka Youth.
