ORiGiN Music Publishing is now the exclusive representative of highly regarded UK based Bucks Music for Australia/NZ.
The UK based music company established in the 1960’s by publisher David Platz has an enviable catalogue of classic copyrights as well as a vast range of TV and film themes and a growing contemporary catalogue of songwriters and producers. Second generation Simon Platz and his A& R executive partner Sarah Liversedge manage one of the most dynamic independent music companies in the UK with a multitude of activities including successful writer producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran) and recent Grammy Song of The Year winner – songwriter Amy Wadge (“Thinking Out Loud”).
Bucks catalogue includes a wide variety of works ranging from the theme of Doctor Who to “You’re The Voice” via former Procol Harum lyricist Keith Reid.
The Bucks & BDi roster also includes Brian Eno, Peggy Seeger, Pete Doherty, Danny Brown, Honeyblood, Devlin, Blood Red Shoes, Alex Metric, Adam Freeland, The Districts, Toy, Findlay, Chloe Howl, Anouck B, iLL BLU, Mikill Pane, Matthew Herbert, One Bit, The HeavyTrackerz and many more. ORiGiN represents two of the three writers of the international hit “This Girl” by Kungs Vs Cooking On 3 Burners. The song peaked at number two in the UK charts in 2016 and held that position for 5 weeks (while Drake held onto the number one spot). Regardless “This Girl” was the number one most Shazamed dance song in the world in 2016 and reached Top 10 in over 35 different territories globally.
